Drawing upon his new book, The Persuaders, Giridharadas is the opening keynote speaker, sharing proven strategies to defend democracy.
Great news to share with you!
We’ve just confirmed that Anand Giridharadas is our opening keynote speaker on Thursday, March 23 at the Globe and Mail Centre. An internationally bestselling author, Giridharadas is one of the world’s leading voices on democracy, overcoming division, and how humans make and resist and grapple with change.
In his work—as an author, journalist, and regular political analyst for MSNBC—he points us toward real meaningful change, wider human solidarity and hope. Whether you’re wrestling with how to improve our society or build a more cohesive team, his message has never been more crucial.
Giridharadas will draw from his latest book, The Persuaders, which explores how people and movements are changing minds by practicing a new art of persuasion for an age of extremes and refusing to write off those who don’t agree. He will delve into the lessons he learned while researching his booklessons that are not only useful in political debates but in the contexts of our workplaces, campuses and communities. He will also show us how to stand bravely for what we believe in while staying open to other viewpoints, offering a “persuaders playbook” of proven strategies for coming together and making change.
Following his address, we will invite questions from the audience and you’ll have time to network. Don’t miss out on this opportunity, register today to participate in this year’s #DXC23 Summit.
