LACE (Living Algae Cyborg Ecosystem) is a carbon-capturing sculptural installation that includes CO₂-responsive video projection on an algal projection screen. By combining ancestral fibre art with new technologies, LACE transforms spectators’ breath into oxygen and activates a dynamic ecosystem which entangles living algae, spectators, exhibition space and art into a space of communal healing and hope. Together, they create a living system of interspecies communication, ecological care, and collaborative regeneration.
