Opening Night Artist Exhibition

The opening night artist exhibition delves into the creator's unique role in civil discourse, highlighting art’s unparalleled ability to reveal alternative perspectives. Visitors are invited to engage with works by both local and international artists who are reimagining the future of democracy.

The opening night also features the Counterbalance exhibition, which presents emerging artists whose works respond to the political realities and impacts of new forms of suppression within democratic societies. The exhibition called for proposals that consider censorship as a catalyst for artistic innovation, offering pathways toward alternative democratic futures. The officially selected emerging artists in Counterbalance are presented in partnership with OCAD University and the European Union.
