Dr. Lori Turnbull is an associate professor and the director of the School of Public Administration at Dalhousie University. She is a fellow at the Public Policy Forum and the deputy editor at Canadian Government Executive magazine.Â
Turnbull is a political commentator who appears regularly on CBC and CTV news networks, as well as other television programs, radio shows, and podcasts across the country. She is a regular contributor to Policy magazine and a freelance author with The Globe and Mail. Her research, teaching, and political analysis focus on parliamentary governance, elections, and political and public sector ethics in Canada.Â
Her book Democratizing the Constitution: Reforming Responsible Government, co-authored with Mark D. Jarvis and the late Peter Aucoin, won the Smiley Prize in 2011 and the Donner Prize in 2012.
