Kayona Karunakumar is Project Assistant, Circle for Democratic Solidarity. A graduate of the University of Toronto in Public Policy and French, she began with the Circle as a volunteer in the Remembering Project supporting the historical research of former students at the two Spanish Indian Residential Schools.
