Miriam Kramer

Executive Director of Government & Community Relations and Public Policy at OCAD University

Miriam (she/her) is a Toronto-based government relations executive with more than 20 years’ experience working in and across policy, research, community relations and advocacy. Currently, Executive Director of Government & Community Relations and Public Policy at OCAD University, she oversees the engagement and strategy for public policy, public funding, community relations. Miriam leads university relations across all levels of government as well as the university’s Cultural Policy Hub. Miriam has a BA from the City University of New York and an MSc from the London School of Economics.


Miriam was a CivicAction DiverseCity Fellow in 2014/15 and a Maytree Policy School Fellow in 2020/21. She is on the Board of Directors of STEPS Public Art, a charitable cultural organization that engages artists and communities to transform public spaces into vibrant places through public art, cultural planning and artist capacity building services.
