Clara Kallich

Co-Founder of Youth Lead the Change Germany

Ever since she has lived in the USA for a year, Clara Kallich is deeply passionate about two issues: strengthening liberal democracy and fostering transatlantic friendship. Clara is now pursuing these interests through two projects. On one hand, she supports the executive team of Join Politics, an organization that identifies and nurtures political talents throughout Germany to address the major challenges of our time. On the other, she is a co-founder and vice chair of Youth Lead the Change Germany e.V., a volunteer association aimed at exciting young people about democracy through the establishment of youth budgets. In this initiative, a city budget is allocated, over which the youth can make democratic decisions. This year, the pilot project, originally from the USA, is being launched in the German city of Cologne.

Prior to these engagements, Clara has had several experiences in both institutional and executive settings; she has worked for an NGO in Jordan, in the office of the Mayor of Rostock, in the American Congress, the German Bundestag, and at the United Nations in New York. Currently, Clara is pursuing her Master's degree in Public Policy in Berlin.

Clara Kallich is joining DXC as a guest of the Goethe-Institut Toronto.
