Sabiha Tursun

Project Assistant, Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project

Sabiha Tursun is an undergraduate student at McGill University studying Political Science and East Asian Studies with a special interest in domestic politics and international relations and a project assistant at Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project. Passionate about the Uyghur cause, she is the president of the student club McGill Students for Uyghur Solidarity where she is committed to advocating for the human rights of the Uyghut people among students. Previously, she had voiced concerns regarding transnational repression, forced labour and gender based oppression of Uyghur women as an intern at various NGOs and student movements such as Clean University Initiatives that urges her university to divest from companies tainted with Uyghur force labour.
