Jutta Brendemühl

Program Curator, Goethe-Institut Toronto

Jutta Brendemühl is an arts programmer and writer with a focus on international exchange, cultural diplomacy & education advocacy. She believes in a together-first approach rooted in cross-community dialogue, cross-disciplinary pollination & cross-sector collaboration. Jutta is a fellow of the TAC/Banff Centre Toronto Cultural Leaders Lab, a founding member of the Toronto Global Impact Network & a North American Cultural Diplomacy Initiative Collaborator.

 

As the Program Curator at the Goethe-Institut Toronto & previously Harbourfront Centre performing arts programmer, Jutta has worked across Canada & with Bernardo Bertolucci, Wim Wenders, Robert Rauschenberg, Pina Bausch, Diébédo Francis Kéré & others. She holds a master’s degree in English Literature with minors in Contemporary History, Political Sciences & Communication.

 

Engagements include DOK Exchange XR Advisory; ArtworxTO Emerging Artist Spotlight Mentoring Program; AGO South Asian Visual Arts Collective Outreach Committee; board duties for UKAI Projects, EUFFTO, previously Toronto Arab Film Festival, Wee Festival, Theatre Direct; juries for Toronto Arts Council, Toronto Jewish Film Festival, Kassel Documentary & Video Festival, TMU.
