Attention Monsters and How To Collapse Reality

What if reality collapse can be attributed to a single, specific type of influencer? Just how easy is it to make piles of money in the process? This workshop will explore these questions and what we can do about it. You'll gain a new way of seeing and questioning the influencer economy, and reframing profit, power, and accountability; then you will be introduced to a playbook showing you how any moderately funded malicious group can take this a step further and thoroughly collapse democracy and reality right here in Canada, using a mix of traditional tactics and AI-enabled approaches. With this foundational context, you will be split into working groups tasked with using what you've learned to creatively collapse reality for your own benefit, and groups tasked with creating counter-measures to preserve reality. At the end we'll see how they compare, review key considerations to ensure we don't accidentally create the backdoors to collapsing our future, and reflect how we feel about it all.
