DemocracyXChange 2026 opens with Utopia Rewired: Creative Visions for Democratic
Futures, a bold new exhibition spotlighting emerging artists (aged 18–29) from Canada and the European Union. Presented in partnership with the European Union through its Delegation to Canada, the exhibition invites audiences to explore how art can reimagine democratic life—and the economic systems that shape it.
Selected through an International open call, this year’s featured artists include:
Slavko Petek (Croatia) — The Inversion Vault
Parumveer Walia (Canada) — Untitled (Future Studies)
Loretta Jeff-Combs (Tŝilhqot’in Nation, Canada) — Qats’ay ʔundziny (Strawberry Basket)
Jan Munske (Germany) & Luisa Cruz (Canada/Brazil) — The International Bureau of
Honey
From immersive spatial environments to participatory “mini-economies,” Utopia Rewired sets
the stage for DXC26’s theme, Side by Side: Building an Economy that Serves Democracy.
Join us on Opening Night as we launch the summit with unique works that reimagine what our shared future could look like—through the eyes of the next generation of creative leaders.
